- Just another dark star in the luminiferous æther
About this blog
After years of resisting the Siren-song of the “blogosphere”, I have, at last, succumbed. My base human need to speak and be heard has finally overwhelmed my reticence and my desire to refrain from adding to the cacophony of the self-published on the Internet. I hope that you will forgive my weakness in this matter, and I hope that my contribution to the din will be of at least average quality, and hopefully better, such that my being here will not make the Internet worse, and may perhaps even improve it in some slight way.
Thankfully, seeing the quality of most of what is on the Internet, I’m pretty sure meeting the average standard will not be that great a challenge.
This blog will contain my musings on topics as diverse as science, philosophy, computer programming – particularly Linux programming and C++ – mathematics, politics, writing and more. It is my hope that the blog software’s categorization features will prevent all of this from being so broad as to be meaningless, and allow me to organize my entries appropriately.
